The 990-13 Vapor Pad humidifier filter efficiently diffuses moisture into the air, helping to keep the whole family comfortable and healthy.
Recognized efficiency
For optimal comfort, during the cold season, the humidity level should be around 30%. A lower percentage indicates that the air is dry, which can lead to deterioration of your belongings and have harmful consequences on your health: irritation of the mucous membranes of the nose and throat, dry skin, chapped lips, breathing difficulties, etc.
The use of a humidifier combined with the 990-13 Vapor Pad filter can counteract the inconvenience of dry air and increase the comfort of the whole family by releasing fine droplets into the ambient air.
How does the filter work?
Made by GeneralAire®, the 990-13 Vapor Pad filter absorbs water as it passes through your humidifier, then circulates moisture through the air. The vapor pad is made of expanded aluminum and coated with a non-toxic hydrophilic material that draws water evenly across the pad and increases the amount of moisture produced.
Easy to install, the filter provides excellent performance until the last days of use. It is of good quality, stronger and more durable than generic pads sold in big box stores.

Manufacturer’s recommendations
Over time, minerals and pollutants build up on the filter, preventing warm air from circulating efficiently. To maximize the performance of your humidifier and ensure superior air quality, it is recommended that you replace the 990-13 Vapor Pad filter at least once a season.
Please note: the pad cannot be cleaned. Attempting to remove deposits on the vapor pad may also remove the hydrophilic coating. If this happens, your humidifier will be unable to provide humidity to your home. To ensure proper operation of your unit, please follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and replace the filter at the suggested interval.
